What is Cream Eyeshadow?
Cream eyeshadow is a fluffy cream with a whipped consistency, used primarily as eyeshadow. The cream eyeshadows of the past are known for their creasing and caking, but today’s cream shadows are smooth and silky then dry into a velvety powder, which makes blending a breeze. If you have dry lids, a cream eyeshadow is a great option. Use a primer if you have oily lids and want to keep the eyeshadow in place.
Introducing Younique Moodstruck Splurge Cream Eyeshadow
Splurge cream eyeshadow comes in a variety of finishes such as Shimmer (comes in 13 colors), Matte (comes in 12 colors), and Metallic (has made an appearance in four colors, which have all been limited edition in 2017). You can do a one color look or combine a light, medium and dark color for a full dimensional look. There are a variety of colors in the cream eyeshadows, and with eyeshadow there are no rules- match your outfit or just go with how you feel.
How to Apply Cream Eyeshadow:
Apply with a densely packed brush like the Cream Shadow Brush and you’ve got a match made in heaven!
Pat the color on instead of sweeping it across your lid.
Wait a few minutes for it to turn into a powder before blending it out with a crease brush or blending brush.
Some colors are also great for other things like highlighting or used as a base for other powder eyeshadow. Some are even fun on the lips as a lip highlight with some added shimmer. The November 2017 Anniversary Palette Kudos featured cream eyeshadow as the base color for the glitter eyeshadows to help them stand out better and stay on the lid.
